Driven by an itch to step away from screens and work with his hands, Adi Ben-Hur translates raw clay into tactile stoneware. A lifelong background as a digital product designer informs this practice—bringing a rigorous approach to material, concept, and execution to an ancient medium.
Rooted in memories of Israel’s sun-baked desert landscape, the work envisions mostly functional objects as unearthed artifacts from an imaginary desert culture. Handcrafted in small batches in New York City, the collection filters the ceramic legacies of the Middle East and East Asia through a minimalist lens—bridging mythic history and modern life.
